Organizational Notes
To make a valuable contribution to the Cleveland women's community and help women help themselves, become a volunteer (day or evening) on the WomenSpace Helpline. The April training schedule is as follows: Saturday, April 4-10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 8-7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 11-10 a.m. to 3 p.m! Wednesday, April 15-7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 18-10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday trainings will be held at WomenSpace. Wednesday evening trainings will be held at a Cleveland Heights location. Call 696-3100 for more information and to register.
WomenSpace is starting a network for women business-owners. The purpose of this network, which developed from a workshop given at the Women Mean Business seminar May 28, is to bring businesswomen together to share ideas, information and support. For more information, call Linda Batway at 696-6767.
Conferences
Registration materials are now available for the 12th National Conference on Women and the Law, to be held at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston from April 3 through April 5. The conference is the only gathering of national scope devoted to legal issues of critical importance to women. A coalition of Boston area law students and legal workers are organizing the 1981 conference. Over 160 workshops will be offered on areas such as family law, labor and employment, health, education, and women in the criminal justice system. The conference thus provides a unique opportunity for legal professionals and community activists to exchange information and develop networks which benefit all women regardless of their profession. The deadline for pre-registration is March 7, 1981. The Oberlin College Gay Students Union has announced its 1981 conference ''Gays in America: A Multiple Perspective'' to be held April 24-25 on the Oberlin campus, Oberlin, Ohio. The weekend will include guest lecturers from all over the nation speaking on sociological, historical, political and artistic topics as well as social events for gay and non-gay people. Uprooting Sexism: Moving Toward Mutuality is a weekend conference sponsored by Cleveland Women's Drdination Conference at St. Joseph Academy, 3430 Rocky River Dr., Cleveland, on May 1 and 2, 1981. On Saturday, May 2. 1981, Education for Freedom of Choice in Ohio (EF CO) and the Coalition for Labor Union Women (CLUW) are co-sponsoring a conference on Health Issues and Labor Women. The conference, to bi held at the Hollenden House, E. 6th & Superior, will include sessions of reproductive health and hazards in the workplace, job safety, nuclea power and how to organize a women's committee in your local.

The 10th IWWG Writing Conference and Retreat will take place July 24-2 (weekend) and July 26-31 (retreat), at Skidmore College. The 198 theme is "The Ethics of Writing: Conflict with Conscience". Programs and Workshops
Displaced Homemakers (women who have lost the support they we dependent upon) can get help through the Displaced Homemakers Pr gram at all campuses of Cuyahoga Community College. The program o fers services to help women become "job ready" and self-supporting No fees are charged. To be eligible, a woman must have worked witho pay as a homemaker for her family, not been gainfully employed, and at least 35 years old. H.O.M.E. (Home Oriented Maternity Experience), a national organizati devoted to helping women achieve the optimum experience of a sa home birth, will sponsor education and discussion sessions about hon birth on March 23, April 27 and May 18, 1981. The meetings will ta place at 7:30 p.m. at Simpson United Methodist Church, Clark and 86th Street, in Cleveland. Topics covered will be Parental Responsibili Equipment and Procedures; Psychological and Medical Consideration Transition to Parenthood; Postpartum and Breastfeeding.
